Emrik Burrows

Emrik began playing music at a young age, at 3 he started learning the piano and at the age of 11 he started learning the guitar. He studied at the Wizdom Music Academy for 2 years before picking up the bass guitar at the age of 14. Which is when he began playing bass for musical theater productions. He has written and performed music for over half a dozen productions. Throughout middle school and high school, Emrik studied choir for 8 years, upright bass for 6 years, and jazz bass for 4 years.

Within the past 4 years, Emrik has been involved in a number of projects including Tables Know Chairs and Boreal the Sky. Throughout the school year Emrik is currently studying architectural science at Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario.

Emrik is influenced both by this classical training as well as the progressive metal and rock scene including groups such as Dream Theater, Haken, Steven Wilson, Seventh Wonder, Transatlantic, and Unitopia. His playing is influenced by John Myung of Dream Theater, Andreas Blomqvist of Seventh Wonder, and the musician of Haken.
